Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, protect, and retain personal information — and the choices you have.

Last updated: June 2026. This policy describes how Marc Dental Solutions(“we”, “us”) handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

  • Contact information you provide through our forms: name, email address, phone number, and city or region.
  • Transaction-related information you choose to share when requesting a valuation, registering as a buyer, or submitting location requirements — for example practice size, approximate revenue range, budget, or timeline.
  • Electronic signature records when you sign our confidentiality agreement online: your typed name, drawn signature, the date and time of signing, your IP address, and browser type. These are retained as evidence of the agreement.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies where you have consented to analytics.

Why we collect it

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide real estate services.
  • To match registered buyers with relevant practice opportunities.
  • To verify eligibility for confidential listing information.
  • To send you listings and market updates only where you have given express consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website.

Consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information only with your consent, or as permitted or required by law. Marketing communications are sent only with express CASL consent, recorded at the time you provide it. Every commercial electronic message we send includes an unsubscribe mechanism, and unsubscribe requests are honoured promptly.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers that host our website, database, and email infrastructure, under contractual confidentiality obligations (data may be stored on servers outside Canada);
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) where necessary to a transaction you are participating in, with your knowledge;
  • Authorities where required by law.

Confidential transaction information

Information relating to a practice sale — financial statements, practice particulars, and the fact that a practice is for sale — is treated as confidential business information. It is disclosed only to qualified parties under a confidentiality undertaking and handled with heightened care.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes above and to meet legal and regulatory obligations applicable to real estate brokerages in Ontario, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, role-based database permissions, and hashed credentials. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information proportionately to its sensitivity.

Access, correction, and withdrawal of consent

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected, or withdraw your consent (subject to legal and contractual restrictions) at any time. Account holders can manage saved listings and communication preferences from their dashboard.

Cookies

This site uses strictly necessary cookies for core functionality (such as authentication sessions) and, where you consent through our cookie notice, analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can withdraw cookie consent by clearing your browser's storage for this site.
